Larry Lambert,  Science

Larry graduated from Nute High School with the Class of 1968.  Larry has many memories of the Nute teachers during his years as a student.  He remembers the underpaid, underappreciated, and overworked teaching staff at Nute who took him under their collective wings and gave him the gift of flight.  He credits the idealistic, youthful and upbeat teachers with energizing the student body with the simple – yet powerful – concept of anything is possible if you reach for it with determination and hard work.  After graduating from Nute, Larry continued his education at the University of New Hampshire, and the University of California at Berkley and Los Angeles.  He experienced a brief career in biotech research, followed by 32 years (and counting) at the Alameda County Medical Center.  Larry writes that “it has been a strange, wonderful, heady and rewarding journey. “
